But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength). 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (AMPC)
There’s absolutely nothing wrong when you feel or sense, naturally, physically, intellectually, limited, weak, stuck or wanting. It’s normal, it’s supposed to be like that.
When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they afterwards realized they were naked. Genesis 3:7. That tree represents the DIY (Do It Yourself) life. This means depending on yourself, your natural human efforts and abilities. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they were declaring independence from God and total dependency on themselves. In trying to depend on themselves they found themselves naked meaning lacking, wanting, limited, weak. Even our Lord Jesus himself when he was in the flesh on earth said “I can of myself do nothing…” It’s alright to acknowledge our limitations in the natural because it’s then that we realize our need for God’s unlimited strength. Jesus in his time on earth recognized his natural human limitations and thus chose to totally depend on Father God’s ability in him. Our natural human physical weaknesses are the perfect condition for the display of God’s unlimited strength and power. That’s why he says – God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
When you don’t know what to do according to natural human wisdom it’s the right setting for the supernatural wisdom of God to operate. When your physical strength has failed, that’s the perfect moment for supernatural strength. When the doctors and medicine have failed, it’s the right time for the healing power of God to display on your behalf. When the world’s financial, economic master minds get stuck that’s the ripe moment for the demonstration of the Lord is my Shepherd I shall not lack.
