but justice is on the way. When the Master Jesus appears out of heaven in a blaze of fire with his strong angels, he’ll even up the score by settling accounts with those who gave you such a bad time. 2 Thessalonians 1:6 (MSG)
For all the questions about why the injustice in the world and the cries out against the wickedness in the earth, it’s not that there’s no God or that He doesn’t care or won’t act or is behind it all punishing all of us for sin. No. God is very present, He is very aware of all that’s going on in the world, He cares for all of us and suffers with us in all our afflictions, He hates evil and is willing to act. The play factor in the whole scheme of things here is God’s timing in accordance with His counsel.
Justice is on the way. We await the appearing of our Lord Jesus from heaven who shall come to settle accounts and so everyone will be judged and receive what’s due them.
His coming will be the break we’ve been waiting for. 2 Thessalonians 1:7 (MSG)
The return of our Lord Jesus Christ to personally take full charge and rule over this world is the final and total riddance of all injustice, suffering, pain and sorrow from all His creation.
This is the hope to which we have been called, to which we live.
