As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day. Genesis 50:20 (AMPC)
When Jacob sent his young son Joseph to go see how his bothers were faring, that was the last time he saw and heard from him not until after seventeen years later.
The bothers of Joseph being jealous and hating him because the father showed favoritism to him and because of his dreams of ruling over them acted wickedly and sold him into slavery. Then they brought back to Jacob a torn blood covered coat of Joseph convincing the father that a wild animal had killed him.
So for twenty two years (Genesis 37:2; 41:46, 47; 45:6) Jacob lived in mourning and grief over the supposed loss of his son Joseph.
But God had led Joseph to Egypt and there He was working with and in him for the good not only of Joseph and his family but for Egypt and the entire world. Because Joseph ended up ruler of Egypt and through the wisdom God gave him the entire world then was delivered from famine and starvation to death. Genesis 37, 39-46.
So even in the face or midst of what looks like irrecoverable damage, loss, or destruction know that the Lord is working. You may not see it now but He’s faithfully working.
Even the evil men intend, plot, and carry out against us God works it out for our good.
Genesis 50:20 (AMPC) As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day.
In all things God is working for good for us His beloved.
Therefore don’t lose heart because no matter what’s going on God is working, fitting every detail into a plan for your wellbeing and to your advantage as well as that of many others.
