Psalm 1:3 (NKJV) He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
When will this happen? When will I have this? When will God answer my prayer? When will I overcome this habit? When will I get to this level of living? When will my work, business, or ministry hit this target? When will I be recognized or promoted? When will my marriage, family get to this level of fulfillment.
All these questions are about the issue of the season of fruit.
As long as the tree is planted in the right place and climate, constantly taking in the necessary nutrients the fruit will come in its season. So the focus shouldn’t be on when God when but making sure we are rightly placed and nourished.
To be planted by the rivers of water means to be built up and grounded in sound teaching of God’s Word.
It means rooted in God’s principles and conducting our life in His Ways. Then and only then do we realize what we desire and aspire for come to fruition effortlessly.
