Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, 1 Timothy 4:12 (AMPC)
The viewpoint and standard of God is not the same as man’s. While man looks at and judges based on the outside, God looks at and judges based on the inside.
David was a youth despised by his own family and disdained by his enemies. Even the man of God, the prophet Samuel missed it for he had thought David’s elder brothers were king material but God had chosen youthful David.
Even the young and the youth belong and are special to God. They have also been chosen and called. They also have a heart after God and so shouldn’t be disregarded.
They may be lacking knowledge, direction, and stability but they can be instructed, refocused and steadied.
The youth should be encouraged and engaged more in the knowledge of God, discipline, serving in ministry, and pursuing purpose.
