Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. Ephesians 2:19-20 (NIV)
For many Christians Christ is peripheral while money, career, business, personal pursuits are central in their lives and affairs. Like the world they build and run their lives around these things. But it shouldn’t be so.
Christ is central to everything and should be central in our lives, in everything we do.
Christ as chief cornerstone means He’s fundamental to life in all its aspects He’s the basis of existence. He’s the Author of Life.
He upholds all creation. Hebrews 1:3. Get to know Christ, who He is, what He has done, who you’re in Him, what He’s doing, what He says about you, your relationships, work, and pursuits, then conduct your life according to this knowledge.
