Blessed [are] those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10 (NKJV)
When we agree with God, take on His mind and walk with Him, we have become enemies of the world. The world is the system and way of thinking and doing that’s contrary to God and His Word.
The system and the people who think and act opposite of the Lord’s will and ways always oppose and fight against the believer who follows Jesus Christ. Someone said if you never collide with the devil it means you’re going in the same direction. Every one heading in the right direction of the Kingdom of God is in direct head on collision with the kingdom of darkness. Thanks to God the opposition and attacks of the enemy’s kingdom cannot prevail against our onslaught and advancement.
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself told us that when we sided with Him we received the kingdom package of; family, fortune and fury (persecution).
Mark 10:29-30 (NKJV) So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.
So don’t be disappointed or discouraged when people are disinterested, unenthusiastic or out rightly antagonistic to your faith life and testimony. You are light confronting and expelling darkness. The people who have lived and got used to darkness won’t like it when you dislodge it, they will put up a fight. This is what persecution is. They will despise you, deride you, hate you, denounce you but like the Lord told us that it’s not you but Him that they are up against.
Therefore stand firm and keep steadfastly going forward because the Kingdom of God is yours and it’s unshakable and unstoppable.
Hear what the Lord is saying to you …. for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 1:7-8 (NLT)
