Blessed [are] the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9 (NKJV)
The Hebrew word shalom translated peace means nothing broken or lacking. This is God’s will and desire for everyone – Nothing broken or lacking in our spirit, soul, body, relationships, world, and work.
Peace is who God is. Judges 6:24(NIV) So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace.
It is His character and expression. He’s the God of peace – Romans 15:33.
God speaks peace – Psalms 85:8. He gives peace.
God has reconciled and made peace with everything including people in heaven and on earth through Christ’s Blood on the Cross. See – Colossians 1:20-21.
Now He desires that we all come to the knowledge of this peace that is extended to all people. Peace makers are those who by their life, conduct, walk, word of mouth, communicate and help others know the God of peace, who gives peace, who has reconciled and made peace with everyone.
When we live and walk in peace we exhibit God.
He commands us to make every effort to live in peace with everyone in order to reveal and show God to others. See-Hebrews 12:14. This means we should be willing and ready not to insist, pursue, or enforce our own way or rights for the sake of helping others get to know the God of peace and walk in the peace of God.
