Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 (NIV)
We demonstrate and prove our respect and worship of God by how we relate with and treat people. God loves people, God lives in people.
But if we say we love God and don’t love each other, we are liars. We cannot see God. So how can we love God, if we don’t love the people we can see? The commandment that God has given us is: “Love God and love each other!”1 John 4:20-21(CEV)
Orphans and widows are among those who need help and care the most; this is where we can best demonstrate our love and devotion to God. Because whatsoever we do to the least of Jesus’ brethren we do to Him. Matthew 25:34-46
Acceptable devotion and worship of God is not about the visions, goals, projects or physical structures we build for God but the people whose lives we reach, touch, and change forever for good.
