“I will not go home or go to bed; I will not rest or sleep, until I provide a place for the LORD, a home for the Mighty God of Jacob.” Psalm 132:3-5 (GNT)
King David could not feel at rest or at home even though he was dwelling in his well-built house and had rest from all his enemies. 2Samuel 7:1-2. It was because the ark of the Lord that carried the presence of God hadn’t been built a dwelling place. On a deeper spiritual level we cannot have true rest, cannot be at home till the Lord is at home in us.True rest is a product of the presence of the Lord. Exodus 33:14.God already dwells in us by His Holy Spirit. 1Corinthians 3:16. Now He desires to feel at home in us so to speak and that happens when we don’t ignore Him but are conscious of His presence in us, when we fellowship with Him, when we enquire from Him and involve Him in every aspect of our life. While God dwells in you He desires to be at home in you. When His thoughts and ways are your thoughts and ways the Lord is at home in you.The results of this are:Your needs are richly provided and you live satisfied. Psalm 132:15 You’re blessed and you rejoice in your work. Psalm 132:16 You and your family walk in dominion. Psalm 132:17 You live in triumph over your enemies and you prosper and flourish.
