But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.] Hebrews 8:6 (NKJV)
The New Covenant is better than the old covenant.
The New Covenant is a better Covenant because it’s established on better promises. The first and foremost of these better promises is God no more remembers our sins.
The old covenant depended on fallen sinful man observing and keeping it and yet he would only continually break it.
In the New Covenant God has through the sacrificial death of His Son on the Cross once and for all forgiven us, washed us, cleansed us, and freed us, from all sin. The shed Blood of Christ has forever redeemed us and reconciled us with God and declares our inseparable union. There’s therefore now no distance, no enmity between us and God.
Thanks to God we are in the New Covenant.
We are one with God through Jesus Christ. The Holy and Righteous God now lives in us and we live in Him.
