Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray–not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. 1 Timothy 2:8 (MSG)
The object of prayer is not the things we are bringing to God in prayer but the God to whom we are bringing things to in prayer.
The object of prayer is not to make God see what is troubling us but to see the God who helps us out of all troubles.
Instead of immersing God into your needs and cares crying and complaining to Him about them, drown out your needs and cares by confessing and giving thanks to God who carries your cares and supplies all your needs.
Therefore in prayer we are to focus on and get preoccupied with knowing God, His mind, and plan about us and our situation.
That’s why we begin with and emphasize – Our Father who is in heaven.
