To those who by patient persistence in well-doing [springing from piety] seek [unseen but sure] glory and honor and [the eternal blessedness of] immortality, He will give eternal life. Romans 2:7 (AMPC)
Patience is commitment to the end.
It’s when we stay committed and hold our ground to the end for a worthy cause that we realize it’s fulfillment.
Patience is the fruit of being persuaded of God’s promise.
It’s when we are convinced that the God who promised is well able and trustworthy to perform that we remain patient.
God made a promise to Abraham to bless and multiply him. By setting his heart and mind on God’s promise Abraham was able to patiently endure till he obtained what was promised. Hebrews 6:13-15 (NKJV)
Patient persistent is simply holding onto the promise of God.
So without the promise of God patience cannot be realized.
Stay with what God has said no matter how it may look long or hard coming to pass.
Set your heart and mind on God’s promises. This is what builds and establishes persistent patience.
