He who walks [as a companion] with wise men is wise, but he who associates with [self-confident] fools is [a fool himself and] shall smart for it. Proverbs 13:20 (AMPC)
The people of the East say one way of getting wisdom is through imitation and it’s the easiest. Wise men from the East, studying the wisdom God sprinkled in the heavens, imitated and followed the movement of a star and got where the true Day Star – Wisdom Himself was born. We can be wise hanging out, imitating, and following the wise – godly people, those who follow Christ who is the wisdom of God. The Jewish religious rulers were amazed at uneducated, untrained Peter and John speaking boldly from Scripture and they realized the disciples had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13) – they were talking and behaving like Him. Keep company with Jesus in His Word and you will act wise like Him.
