” I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge [and] discretion. Proverbs 8:12 (NKJV)
Wisdom is not a thing but a Person and here in our opening verse, Wisdom introduces Himself with ” I Wisdom” He goes on to say ” I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth. Proverbs 8:23 (NKJV). Then in the next verses 24-29, this Person Wisdom talks about how He existed with God before creation and was present with God at creation. In verse 30 this Person Wisdom was beside God as a master craftsman, meaning He participated with God in creating. This is none other than Jesus Christ, who is the Word present with God in the beginning, very God, who created all things – John1:1-3 The book of Proverbs is a practical, daily life unveiling and application of Jesus Christ who is the Wisdom of God – 1Corinthians 1:24. To know Jesus and walk with Him is what wisdom is all about.
