God doesn’t just tolerate or endure us; He takes pleasure in us. After God created mankind, He saw us in Adam and described us as very good – Genesis 1:27,28,31. Yes despite all our faults and failures God looks beyond what we haven’t yet learned to express and walk in on the outside and focuses on and is pleased with what He made us to be on the inside. We’re God’s image bearers and revealers. We’re God’s workmanship – Ephesians 2:10. Whoever touches us touches the apple of God’s eye – Zechariah 2:8. He has called us to fellowship with Him in love. He has called us to set forth His wonderful deeds and display His virtues and perfections – 1Peter 2:9 (AMPC) He has chosen to display His manifold infinite wisdom to the rulers and powers in the heavenly realm through us – Ephesians 3:10. When you know God takes pleasure in you, you will desire to know and fellowship more with Him and then you will experience His pleasure.
