LORD, I have given up my pride and turned away from my arrogance. I am not concerned with great matters or with subjects too difficult for me. Psalm 131:1(GNT)
According to this Scripture pride and arrogance is being concerned with issues too difficult for you. When you find yourself overwhelmed with a matter it means it’s beyond your ability to handle. In this case you should seek help from another who is able. This is humility, this is wisdom. Therefore, worry is pride and foolishness because it’s being overly concerned with what’s too difficult for you. We can’t grow taller or live longer worrying Matthew 6:27. Neither can we change, or remove any problem worrying.God has already made it crystal clear to us in that He’s already taking care of the hardest things that we can’t handle namely sustaining our life and the functioning of our bodies. Now when we worry about the lesser things of what to eat and what to put on, we have been blinded to or have stopped noticing what’s in plain sight which is, the One who already handles the most difficult things (life, body function), can’t he handle the lesser (food, clothing)? When we are concerned about things that only God can handle, we are assuming His position, place and responsibility. This is was the cause of the fall of lucifer later Satan. So cast all your concerns to the Lord and leave them there.
