Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So [are] the children of one’s youth. Psalm 127:4 (NKJV)
Arrows are shaped, sharpened, aimed, and shot. As a parent or guardian, you’re responsible for shaping and sharpening your children into what they’re designed and destined to be. Proverbs 22:6. This you do not only by telling them what to do but mostly by what you habitually say and do around them. Because children mostly learn by imitating adults most especially their parents. Ephesians 5:1.Aim or point your children in the direction they ought to go. Be intentional in your parenting. Don’t just raise them only providing for and formally educating them. Show them the way of life, the way of God. Ephesians 6:4.Finally shoot out or release them to go. When it’s finally time for your children to go out in the world and be independent, hands off and trusting them with God on. Here all you can do is pray for them and believe what you invested in them is put to use and most importantly God is working in them and guiding them.
