Psalm 89:10 (NLT) You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
The great sea monster or Rahab (in the KJV and other versions) represents chaos and Rahab was used by the Israelites as an emblematic name for Egypt.Just as God always reminded the Israelites that He crushed pharaoh and Egypt and delivered them from bondage, He is reminding us today so we never forget that He crushed the devil and his kingdom (sin, condemnation, fear, worry, confusion, sickness, death, poverty, bondage, oppression) and delivered us – Colossians 1:13.The point here is we should believe, pray, and declare the victory even while still confronted by what appears as insurmountable opposition and contradiction.
