You brought us from Egypt like a grapevine; you drove away the pagan nations and transplanted us into your land. You cleared the ground for us, and we took root and filled the land. Psalms 80:8-9 (NLT)
In most of the Israelites’ prayers especially when they were in trouble they would talk to God beginning with what He had done for them from the time He delivered their ancestors from Egypt. This reminded them of His power and faithfulness and encouraged them to pray boldly.Today we are the redeemed whom God delivered from the dominion of darkness and brought us into His kingdom – Colossians 1:13.We should declare our redemption in Christ Jesus. New covenant prayer is more about how God has forgiven us, saved us, delivered us, healed us, and raised us.Spend more time praying what God has done than crying out to Him to do something.
