Seeking and pursuing peace means being decided and intentional on living in peace. This is so because the system of this world is contrary to peace. Jesus told us that the world can’t give us real peace, only He can. John 14:27(NLT)A fallen world, imperfect people and creation can’t provide a peaceful environment. There’s also wickedness as well as wicked people in the world and these directly oppose peace – Isaiah 57:20-21. So we have to be aggressive about walking in Peace.We can live in peace all the time anywhere by practicing what our theme Scripture says – Depart from evil and do good. Don’t allow the evil in the world into your thinking and conversation. Focus on and fill your mind and mouth with God and what He’s doing. Then Peace will constantly flow in your life and affairs like rivers.
