So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. Ruth 4:13 (NIV)
The book of Ruth is one of the only two books in the Bible ascribed to a woman, the other being Esther. It’s also the only book in the Bible of a gentile woman. The Israelites were forbidden to marry gentiles and priests were forbidden to marry widows.Ruth was a gentile and a widow but ended up marrying in the lineage from which Jesus comes.Trusting in the God of Israel, Ruth overcame all the odds against her to become one of the heroines of the Faith in Scripture and a direct active participant in the coming of the Messiah.Ruth left everything in her former home country behind and began again in a foreign land. She married again and had a new family from which Jesus Christ the Savior of the world comes. You too like Ruth can begin again. It doesn’t matter what you have lost, given up or wrong done to you, God can restore all, just as He did for job. Have Faith in God and begin again.
