I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:12-14 (NIV)
Grace is not a license to sin as those who are ignorant of God’s ways say; rather Grace is a license to begin afresh and right.
The apostle Paul who formerly known as Saul; a zealous law keeper was a blasphemer, persecutor, and violent man. But the Grace of God gave him the opportunity to begin again.
He turned out one of the greatest among the Apostles and contributed much more than the others in the Gospel.
You too can begin again no matter how far away you’ve gone off course.
You can begin again like Saul turned Paul by understanding and considering these two powerful life points:
One is, we miss it and mess up in life because of ignorance and unbelief. Therefore get rid of ignorance by opening up to and acquiring the right knowledge which is the knowledge of Christ. Get out of unbelief by hearing the Word of Christ that brings belief or Faith.
Secondly we see that God shows mercy, He abundantly pours out His Grace upon us with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Know, and accept God’s mercy, acknowledge and embrace His Grace with faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
