The authority and power to rule not only over kingdoms and countries but in all affairs of life comes from wisdom. The writer of this book of Proverbs was a king. He started out his rule by asking God for wisdom. According to God when Solomon asked for wisdom, he asked for everything including authority, power, honor and riches. So, God gave it all to him. Wisdom causes you to let God work in and through you. It makes you allow God to speak, counsel, direct, judge, and decide through you. Therefore, God can freely exercise His authority and power through you. Jesus always operated in authority and power. He said that the words he spoke it was the Father in Him doing the works John 14:10 (AMPC). He allowed God to operate through Him. That’s wisdom and that’s authority and power.
