  • Whose advice are you taking?

Whose advice are you taking?

February 1, 2024 John Nsamba Comments off Devotions

Psalm 1:1(NKJV) Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

There’s two kinds of advice or counsel; Godly advice or counsel and ungodly advice or counsel. Godly advice is from God and is found in His Word and in our born again spirits where the Holy Spirit dwells and speaks from.
Ungodly advice is from the devil and the world and is based on reasoning and feeling that contradicts what God has said in His Word and the witness we have in our hearts.
The outcome of ungodly advice is disappointment, failure, regret, pain, destruction and death. This is what happened to Adam and all humanity when in the garden he took ungodly advice from the serpent.
The fruit of godly advice is a blessed, happy, and prosperous life. This is what Jesus brought and gave to all humanity when He took and followed godly advice by heeding the Father’s will all the way to His death on the Cross.
Take godly advice as you follow God’s Word and the witness of His Holy Spirit in your heart.
