Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5b (NKJV)
Are you going through a season of weeping? Are you experiencing rough, tough, painful, moments that range anywhere from inconvenient to intolerable, uncomfortable to unbearable?
Be encouraged and comforted by the Word of God that it won’t go on for long.
The moment of sorrow, agony, pain, heartache may last for the night but sure the morning comes and with-it gladness.
Usually there isn’t much that can be done at night so we always say let’s wait till morning. Likewise, when we are facing trying moments it always looks like there’s nothing we can do and many times nowhere to turn to. We often find ourselves helpless. But the truth is, we have a helper always with us so we are never helpless. We have someone to look to, who’s well able and readily willing to uphold and get us over and through every challenge.
The morning moment when joy comes is simply when we make the choice to look to and let the Lord Jesus Christ, the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16) to shine love, hope, faith, wisdom and strength in our life and situation.
We know that night time happens when our side of the earth is not facing the sun and morning happens when our side of the earth is facing the sun.
Likewise, when those moments of weeping happen it seems like God is hidden from us but truth is He never leaves us and so when we choose to look to Him – to Jesus the Sun of Righteousness -Malachi 4:2, the result is joy unspeakable and full of glory- 1Peter 1:8.
In Psalms 126:5-6 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
According to this scripture weeping happens during seed or sowing time, in other words weeping time is seed time. We can use the challenging, moments of heartache and pain as seed time where we learn to look to and depend on God instead of people, pray, praise, train ourselves to put His Word in our hearts, receive encouragement and comfort from friends, let go of unnecessary baggage, slow down – things that will make us to flourish and be fruitful.
