But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31(NKJV)
Waiting on the Lord is fellowshipping with Him in worship and prayer. It is sharing with Him in His own life.
We do not wait nervously with uncertainty for a God who is far away not sure when He will arrive or even if He will even show up.
We wait on a God who’s with, in and for us. So waiting is communion.
We wait on God by setting our heart and mind on His Word.
It’s from this fellowship with God in His Word that we are renewed in strength. This is so because God and His Word are one. Everything that’s in God is also in His Word. God’s strength is in His Word.
Therefore wait on God for strength by waiting on His Word.
