...and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32(NKJV)
Many confront and force others to give facts, to tell exactly what happened saying “you know it’s the truth that sets you free”The truth that sets free isn’t the things that happened or are happening.
While we should be honest and not lie in the information we give, Jesus didn’t refer to giving facts in the context of our theme Scripture.
The truth that sets free is what and how God sees a person, thing or situation. In this very chapter (John 8:3-11) they brought to Jesus a woman caught in adultery and the law condemned such to death by stoning.
That’s what her accusers posed as truth. But Jesus’ truth that set that woman free from death and no more sinning was “those who have ever sinned have no right to condemn and God who is righteous doesn’t condemn anyone”The facts would have killed that woman while all the rest who were also if not worst offenders would have unjustly escaped. But the truth of Jesus silenced all the guilty, set free and saved the condemned.
