Happy Easter! We see here that they believed after they saw the tomb where Jesus had been laid empty, for He had risen.John 20:9 (TPT) For until then they hadn’t understood the Scriptures that prophesied that he was destined to rise from the dead. The empty tomb is testimony to God’s victory over death man’s final and arch enemy.Jesus rose having emptied death, hell, and the grave. The defeat of death was the defeat of sin because sin ruled by means of death – Romans 5:21 (CEV)It was the defeat of the curse, sickness, poverty and all evil. The Gospel which is the power of God for Salvation is the Good News that the tomb is empty. We have been freed from the enemy and all bondage. We have been empowered to reign in life.
