We learn not to be driven by the ups and downs of life but rather to ride on them, we learn not to act based on how we feel or what we see and reason but on the right thing that God says. It’s not the ups and downs or troubles but the instructions in God’s Word that make and shape us.As we let the Word orient us and adjust us to God’s way of thinking and acting, we then experience the same undisturbed rest God lives in.
