Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Psalms 35:27(NKJV)
God is not opposed to our being well off in all aspects of life. It pleases the Lord when we His children are healthy, wealthy, successful and satisfied. He created this whole world and all its vast rich resources for our benefit and enjoyment. It’s totally wrong and unscriptural to think, preach, and teach that one can’t be rich and righteous at the same time.Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David were godly righteous men who were also extremely rich. When Jesus said it’s hard for the rich to enter God’s kingdom, he further explained it saying “it’s hard for those who trust in riches to enter God’s kingdom” Mark 10:23-25God wants us to have riches but not riches to have us. Prosperity should not be our god but rather our servant helping us to serve in and promote God’s Kingdom.
