giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Colossians 1:12 (NKJV)
It doesn’t say God has qualified us but Father has qualified us. It is because God is our Father and we are His children that we are qualified to be partakers of His inheritance that He has for all those He loves. Sonship is a position and it is what qualifies us for all that God our Father is and has. Our access to every good thing in life is based not on what we do for God but who we are as the Father’s beloved children. In the parable of the prodigal son which is actually the parable of the Father and his two sons, the older son who remained at home thought he qualified for whatever his Father could give by working for him as a slave but the Father lovingly corrected him saying “son you’re always with me and all that I have is yours”
God is our Father, we are His Sons (men, women, boys, and girls) and this is what qualifies us for every good, beneficial and profitable thing of life.
