I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. Psalms 120:1 (NLT)
Some people keep their troubles to themselves and suffer silently. Others tell everyone about their troubles. Others beg God to come and take their troubles from them. The wisdom of the Word tells us to take our troubles to God and He will answer us. We are to take our troubles to the Lord in prayer. This implies telling the Lord what’s troubling you and expecting an answer. Prayer is talking to God, not begging, not complaining, not quarrelling. In the Gospels many troubled or afflicted people would come to Jesus crying out to Him “have mercy on me” Jesus would ask them “what do you want me to do for you?” They would say it clearly and He would say “be it to you as you desire or according to your faith” and they would be freed from whatever trouble or affliction they were suffering from. The Lord is the same yesterday today and forever. Even now you can tell Him your troubles and He is able and willing to help you out of them all.
