Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been [dead] four days.” John 11:39 (NKJV)
The Israelites in the wilderness saw the works of God for forty years but they never believed and so never benefited from them. God delivered them from Egypt, cared for them in the wilderness but they never enjoyed God and what He did for them because they always had excuses and were complaining of what was not yet done.Their unbelief based on focusing on what’s not yet done was a stone covering their hearts and minds preventing them from clearly seeing what God had done and was doing. When we focus on what we don’t have, the negatives that have happened or are happening around us we put up a stone of unbelief before our eyes so we are unable to see and so experience what God has done or is doing.Take away the stone of unbelief. Know that with God nothing is impossible, that He is able to do far beyond you could ever imagine.
