By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8 (NKJV)
Abraham had no idea where he was going but the One who called him to go knew. What Abraham had going on for him was being persuaded of the faithfulness of the God who called him that what He said He could do. Romans 4:20-21 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.
We can start even when we don’t see the whole plan rolled out before us, when we are convinced of the reliability of Him who has the whole plan and who has called us to start.
1 Thessalonians 5:24. He who calls you [is] faithful, who also will do [it.]
It is not necessary for us to see the whole plan all at once. What we need is to see the one who has planned and is leading us in His plan. We see the One who has planned in His Word or instruction. Mary didn’t have to see all the details of how she would conceive without a man. All she needed was the assurance that nothing is impossible with God and no Word from God is without power. Luke 1:37. (AMPC)
Then she said “be it to me according to your Word” Luke 1:38 – that’s how she started! Abraham started on a journey whose direction and destination he hadn’t the slightest idea about because he heard a Word, an instruction from God. The servants at the wedding in Cana of Galilee filled the jars with water not because they knew in advance that it would turn into wine but rather because Jesus told them to. Jesus’ mother Mary had tipped them that “whatever He tells you do it” John 2:1-11
Though you do not see the entire plan, start on that relationship, ministry, project, business, book, career, discipline and much more, even as you have heard that God instruction in your heart for, He speaks there.
