Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, Ephesians 6:14 (NIV)
Whatever would move us, cause us to go off course, make us fall, always comes via the way of diverting our focus away from Christ – what He is in us, what we are in Him.
We stand firm by staying persuaded of what Christ is in us and what we are in Him.
When we are told to stand in Ephesians 6 it is in holding fast to all these realities of Christ in us. We are commanded to put on the helmet of salvation. The helmet of salvation on our head is having our minds filled with, renewed and fully persuaded of our complete Salvation through Christ. In Him we are eternally totally saved from sin, satan, sickness, the curse, poverty and all evil.
Refusing to accept any thought, condition, or situation that contradicts this truth is what standing firm is all about. Stand firm by remaining adamant about who you’re in Christ and what He is in you regardless of how you feel or what it looks like on the outside around you.
