Love is not pretense, as if nothing has happened.First of all Love stops the spreading and worsening of wrong and evil by answering it with right and good just like a wound is first cleaned, treated, and then bandaged.Then Love heals and restores by getting rid of offenses through forgiveness and showing mercy.An eye for an eye only spreads and strengthens evil and suffering.Stop and subdue wrong and evil through Love, responding with right and good. Forgive offenses and show mercy.
