But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 Timothy 3:1 (NIV)
We need not seek the signs of the end times from world events, nature, or happenings in the heavens for they are in plain view in man himself. Because the next verses in our theme Scripture reveal the evil works of men as the cause of the terrible times of the last days:
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:2-5 (NIV) Since all the above is already happening now all around us, we are already living in the end times.
Now our stance in these last days should be:2 Timothy 3:14 (NIV) But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
