that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what [is] the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV)
There are some who say that the teaching and knowledge of God’s Love is basic and just for beginners; that we need to advance to more serious and deeper studies like God’s judgements, wrath, and punishments. But according to our theme Scripture, the most serious and foundational, the deepest and greatest study and knowledge of God is about His Love. It’s in God’s Love that we can be deeply rooted and firmly grounded. Nowhere does the Bible say God is judgement or wrath but it says God is Love. 1John 4:8,16 and to live in love is to live in God and He in us.
“Jesus loves me this I know” is far more mature, foundational, and deeper and higher than knowing everything about the world, spirits, the operation and works of darkness, or the plans of the enemy.
We cannot even know and understand God’s Righteousness, Holiness, and judgements except in the light of His Love for us.
To know, to be fully persuaded, and to rest in how much God loves us is how we get established in the Faith Galatians 5:6, and it’s how we are freed from all fear 1John4:18.
