Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)
It’s important to not only know the Word but also to rightly interpret and apply it.
The whole Bible is written FOR you – meaning you can learn and benefit from all of it. But not everything in the Bible is written TO you directly. There are things in the Bible that God specifically gave to a specific group of people for a specific time. For example Jesus asked Peter to walk towards Him on water-Matthew 14:22-33, that was a specific word for Peter, at that specific time, trying to walk on water using the same instruction and scripture reference might turn out disastrous for you.
Rightly read, study, apply and receive from the Word as you seek to see and know from It, Christ and what He has accomplished in the Cross because the Word is a revelation of Christ from Genesis to Revelation.
