For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15 (NKJV)
The Word of God reveals to us that fear is bondage. Therefore it is not normal, not okay to fear because that’s bondage. Now if you sense, get attacked by or are in fear do not be alarmed or accept condemnation. Fear like sin or sickness is of and from the devil therefore you don’t tolerate it but resist it.
Do not identify with or own fear. As a child of God fear is not part of your nature. You do not have the spirit of fear; you have the Spirit of Sonship. This is the Spirit of Christ Jesus the Son of God. You received and you have the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit in you.
Any fear you face or feel is not from the inside of you it comes from the outside, from the world and the evil one. Avoid talking about your “fears” because they are not yours they are the devil’s. As long as you identify with and own something you cannot and won’t ever get rid of it because a kingdom divided cannot stand. People talk about “their sicknesses” “their cancer”, “their high blood pressure” That’s so wrong. If someone throws mud at you and it sticks on you for a while it doesn’t make it “your mud” rather you shake, clean, or wash it off.
Do not confess evil saying “your fear of heights, crowds, public speaking etc”
Statements like “facing your fears” “my worst fear” “I’m afraid I can’t” should be far away from your mind and mouth.
One famous world leader once said that the only thing we should fear is fear itself. That’s totally wrong, it’s unscriptural.
The Word of God is truth and it says – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I Will Fear No Evil; For You [are] with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4 (NKJV)
We fear no evil. Since fear is bondage it is evil, therefore we do not fear it.
Do not fear the devil or demons because they are already defeated and you have authority and power over them in Jesus Name.
Do not fear sickness or death, for Jesus bore those sicknesses in his body and in his resurrection conquered death for you. But people die, even Christians die. For believers death is a putting off of this physical body and living forever with the Lord. Yet still we know that while still here in this earthly body the Lord satisfies us with long life.
Do not fear lack, abandonment, failure, poverty, the evil plots of men, accidents, and an uncertain future. Instead take comfort be encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:6 (AMPC)
What about the fear of the Lord? Jesus interpreted for us what the fear of the Lord is. He said you shall worship and serve the Lord alone (Luke 4:8) and he was quoting the Old Testament Scripture which says you shall fear the Lord. Deuteronomy 6:13.
So the fear of the Lord is actually to worship and serve Him but not to be in terror and bondage before Him. For the Lord is Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there’s liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17. So refuse to fear today
