Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Psalm 105:1-2 (NIV)
In our scriptural text proclaiming the Name of the Lord is immediately followed by making known what He has done, all His wonderful acts. The implication here is that whenever we proclaim or make known the Name of the Lord, what immediately follows is His wonderful works manifested. When we proclaim the Name of Jesus, Salvation, healing, deliverance, and restoration happen. This is what Jesus meant in talking about signs (God’s wonderful acts) following us who believe. In Jesus’ Name we cast out demons, speak in new tongues, are not hurt by deadly things, and heal the sick – Mark 16:17,18Now we know why everything we do in Word and action should be in the Name of the Lord Jesus – Colossians 3:17.What we say and do in Jesus’ Name releases God’s wonderful acts thus glorifying Him.
