Christ is our hope; He is our expectation of good and a desired ending. The psalmist has talked about the Lord God as his source of confidence. Because of who the Lord is, what He is able to do, and what He has already done as the Scriptures tell, we can always live with a joyful confident expectation of things turning out for our wellbeing regardless of what is going on in our lives. We can be sure that the same God we have leaned and relied on from birth, the One who took us from our mother’s womb and has been our benefactor from that day is able to uphold and carry us to the very end.
