do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16 (NKJV)
One way to live beyond your limitations is to live beyond yourself.
You may think you have the most and worst to deal with but it pales in magnitude in the sight of what others who require your help need.
When you get your mind off of you and look around and beyond you, you see farther and more objectively, you extend your sphere of application and influence.
In prayer we are applying ourselves in God’s abilities and provisions. If all we pray for is me, myself, and I, we limit ourselves to God supplying only the little we need but when we mention others in prayer we allow the God without limits to meet much more than we think or imagine.
Pray not just for you and your family. Pray for your fellow believers, neighbors, workmates, and schoolmates. Pray for your village, city and country.
Always mention someone in your prayers.
