“Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will send my Spirit upon him, and he will announce my judgment to the nations. He will not argue or shout, or make loud speeches in the streets. Matthew 12:18-19 (GNT)
It’s interesting to note that in the seemingly little time that Jesus had on earth to do the greatest work of all He was never under pressure to achieve results. He did not employ tactics of getting as many people as He could to believe or follow Him as fast as possible. He did not tell those whom He healed, delivered, or performed a miracle for that “since I have done this for you now believe on me and follow me”. Yet people believed and followed Him!
What was His secret? He was convinced that it’s the Goodness of God that leads men to repentance, to believing, to changing. See- Romans 2:4 So He went about proclaiming the Good News and demonstrating the Goodness of God. Acts 10:38.
Therefore let’s preach the Good News and demonstrate the Goodness of God and people will believe, repent, and follow Christ.
