The Gospel, the Good News that saves, heals, and restores is summed up in three words – it is finished. Everything that must be done for the complete salvation and restoration of mankind and all creation was finished when Jesus died on the Cross. As our representative Jesus Christ took all our sin, and bore away all the consequences of our sins including condemnation, the curse, sickness, poverty, rejection, shame, all pain and suffering as well as death.He offered one sacrifice (His death) for sins forever. Hebrews 10:12By one offering (His death) He perfected us forever. Hebrews 10:14God doesn’t remember our sins. Hebrews 10:17. Not because He’s forgetful but because they don’t exist anymore. The perfect sacrifice of His Son perfectly blotted out all of our sins. We have been made right with God. We have peace with God. We can live in peace on earth.
