I am always aware of the LORD’s presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me. Psalms 16:8 (GNT)
God personally reconciled us with Him through His Son Jesus Christ in His crucifixion, death and resurrection. We are forever inseparably joined with the Godhead.
We are always ever with God who is always ever with us.
Anyone or anything can be so very close to you but if you don’t know or set your attention and mind on them you may not be aware of their presence.
Likewise it’s not that the presence of God is with us certain times and absent at other times. It’s always us who are aware of the Lord’s presence one moment and then total strangers to it the next moment. God is a spirit and we connect with Him in our spirit. Now it’s true that what is spiritual always impacts and will eventually be felt even in the emotional and physical sphere but if we try to relate with and confirm God based on emotions and how we physically feel we may miss it and even worse be vulnerable to other strange evil presences. The emotional and physical should follow the spiritual. We live and walk in God’s presence by faith and not by feeling. We know from His Word and in our heart that He’s with us.
As we acknowledge that He’s with us we get to experience His presence – the peace, joy, assurance, sense of security and contentment.
We experience His presence as we stay in His Word – reading it, saying it, studying it, meditating on it, and acting on it. Praying, especially praying in tongues is also another sure way of staying conscious of the presence of the Lord in our lives.
We are aware of God’s presence as we praise and worship Him, giving Him thanks.
Keep in the Word; pray – especially in tongues, worship the Lord and His presence shall be a daily experience for you.
