But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
Just like forgiveness of sins healing is an already accomplished work of God.
While the Blood of Jesus shed in His suffering, beating and crucifixion totally removed our sin, guilt and condemnation, His pierced, wounded, broken body provided total healing, health, longevity and fruitfulness for us. This healing is available to us if we believe in Christ.
Isaiah says “by His (Jesus’) stripes we are healed” He doesn’t say we are about to be, might be, could be, soon to be, will or shall be healed.
He doesn’t say “God is about to, or will heal us”. Neither does he attach some conditions like “God will heal you if you repent, cry out to Him, fast, make a vow or sow a seed for healing, serve Him faithfully, or promise to do everything right.
It’s absolutely totally right doing all these things, but they are not the basis or reason for our healing. We are healed right now! We are healed by the stripes of Jesus. We are made whole because of His broken body.
If you are a believer, Jesus paid in full for your healing and health. Healing is your legal rightful inheritance as a child of God.
One might say “But I’ m sick and in excruciating pain, I’d be lying and in denial to say I’m healed when I’m actually not, when I still feel the pain”.
2 Corinthians 5:7- We walk and live by faith and not by sight. That means we do not conduct our lives based on what we feel, taste, smell, see or hear but what God tells us in His Word.
It is of uttermost importance for us to be established in this truth because what we feel, taste, smell, see or hear is always subject to change and passes away whereas what God says never changes but remains the same forever.
The Word of God instructs us that “let the weak say I am strong” Joel 3:20
The person who goes by what he feels will insist on saying I am weak when he’s experiencing weakness. But when he tunes into faith he will agree with God saying I am strong. This is not make believe but it’s the truth because the Lord Himself is our strength. Now, do you need to see a doctor? Yes; absolutely, should you take the medicine? Yes absolutely. As you do these things, keep believing that you are healed. The doctor’s report contains facts about you situation, but God’s word is the TRUTH. Facts change but truth doesn’t. Our feelings and reasonings should be subjected to and follow after God’s Word in order to experience His life and power in our lives.
Know, declare you are healed and free from that sickness, disease, pain, disorder, or condition right now even though you still feel and see the symptoms in your body.
Continue to praise and give thanks to God for your healing. That’s faith in motion!
Sooner or later the healing and health which is already the reality according to God’s Word will manifest in your body, system, and life.
