Our comprehensive Salvation covers our spirit, soul (mind, will, emotions), and body. Our spirit is already a New Creation 2Corinthians 5:17; a new man created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness Ephesians 4:24;
already perfected. Hebrews 12:23 (NIV)… to the spirits of the righteous made perfect.
Our soul still needs to be renewed. The one area that mostly needs to be saved in our soul is the mind.
Therefore the helmet of salvation.
The helmet covers the head and this is where the mind functions from.
To put on the helmet of Salvation is to fill our mind with and yield our mind to the Word which is able to save us. James 1:21 (NKJV)… receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
This is so very important because the mind is the battle site of spiritual warfare. Everything begins in the mind. Right living starts from right thinking and wrong conduct comes from wrong thinking.
Fill your mind with salvation thoughts. That Jesus is your savior, He has saved you, delivered you, made you righteous, holy, and victorious.
