Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! Psalms 46:10 (AMPC)
God dwells in and with us, He so desires to fellowship with us. He so longs to share His life, peace, wisdom and strength with us.
This is possible and happens as we spend quality time with Him. The reason why for most believers God, His presence, and power don’t seem to be real isn’t because He’s not in their lives but rather there’s too much noise screaming from the world around them they can hardly see and hear God.
Therefore it’s of the essence that we steal away from the busyness and commotion around us to have some quiet time with the Lover of our soul.
As we shut out everything and have some quietude with the Lord we get in on what He has purposed and planned for us.
Take time to read, study, and meditate on the Word of God. This is the first and number one way we communicate with God.
Have some moments of worship where you express to Him thanksgiving and adoration, tell of His love, grace, mercy, goodness, faithfulness and redemption.
Take time to pray in tongues. It is intimate communion with God. 1 Corinthians 14:2 (AMPC) For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding].
Then just be still for some time, listening to your heart with expectancy knowing it’s from inside there that He speaks to you.
It’s from our quiet time with God that we are refreshed, renewed, strengthened and receive instructions to deal wisely in the affairs of life.
